"We are people, not machines." That's the motto of the traditional fall series of events dedicated to mental health and wellbeing, organized for the third year by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This year's WellBeING. will once again offer a program for both students and faculty staff. The fall series includes workshops and courses where participants can learn to relax, learn more about mental health, or try coaching.
"We know that both studying and working at a university can be mentally demanding for many reasons. That is why the WellBeING. event is open to both employees and students at FSI," says event coordinator Iveta Hovorková from the FSI marketing department. In the graphics, individual events are marked with a sticker symbol indicating who the event is intended for. The same information can also be found on the website.
WellBeING. includes a campaign on the website and social networks, as well as workshops, courses, and coaching opportunities. The aim of the awareness campaign is to enable employees and students to learn more about how they can take care of their mental health and well-being and thus prevent more serious mental health problems. Prevention is not rocket science; even small steps and minor changes in habits can help: getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, regular physical activity, support from peers, family, and, if necessary, professionals if stress, anxiety, or depression arise. Planning and proper time management can also help reduce pressure during stressful periods.
