Vojtěch Votava, a student of the bachelor's program in Energetics at FME, became the King of the Summer University at the Dukovany Power Plant. Votava performed best in the final knowledge test. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at BUT was excellently represented by 18 participants, half of the total number.
Out of 180 applicants, 36 selected students from various Czech universities completed the demanding two-week Summer University program in Dukovany, which is a balanced mix of theory, practice, and social and sports activities.
Vojtěch Votava became this year's most successful participant in the Summer University in Dukovany. He earned the title of "King of the Summer University" thanks to his outstanding performance in a knowledge test, which he completed without any errors and which covered a wide range of questions from the field of nuclear energy.
Second position was awarded to Martin Dolinský, who also studies at FME. These students showed a high level of expertise and the ability to apply theoretical concepts in practical scenarios that were part of the summer university program.

Summer University in Dukovany: A step towards the future of nuclear energy
The Summer University is an excellent opportunity for young professionals, not only in the field of nuclear energy. Participants gained unique experience and deepened their knowledge of the real-life operation of a nuclear power plant. The program included not only theoretical lectures, but also excursions to the plant and practical exercises. All this allowed participants to gain insight into the daily life and technologies of the power plant, which ensures the safe and efficient operation of the energy infrastructure.
This year, positive feedback from participants confirmed that the Summer University in Dukovany continues to be of great importance for the development of energy experts. Students not only learn here, but also establish valuable contacts with professionals in the field of nuclear energy, which can play a key role in their future careers.
