From August 31 to September 6, 2025, the Foundry Department of the Institute of Manufacturing Technology at FME organized the third annual EICF Investment Casting Manufacturing Technology Course. This specialized course focuses on foundry engineering and investment casting technology.

Organized in cooperation with theEuropean Investment Casters' Federation (EICF), the course is unique in Europe for its comprehensiveness. It offers participants a combination of expert lectures, practical exercises, and excursions to leading companies in the field.

The course is primarily intended for novice foundry professionals, but it is also regularly attended by professionals with many years of experience who want to deepen their knowledge in this specific area.

"This year's edition was attended by 16 experts from 11 countries, mainly specialists from the aviation industry. The companies visited included PBS Velká Bíteš, Alucast, MCAE, and Lanik," said Antonín Záděra, head of the Foundry Department.

Specialists from Brno University of Technology and respected European experts participated in the lectures. "Together, they create a unique educational environment that combines the fundamentals of technology with practical experience," explained Záděra.
