Formula Student 2
FSI-FS2 Acad. year: 2025/2026 Summer semester
This course focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of designing and constructing a formula race car for the international Formula Student competition. Students work in a team and participate in all key phases of development, from conceptual design and technical modeling to manufacturing and vehicle testing. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and effective communication. Students will gain experience in computational analysis, component design, material engineering, and the fundamentals of automotive aerodynamics. The goal is to develop knowledge and practical skills in automotive engineering and to prepare students for real-world challenges in the industry.

Prerequisites
The prerequisity is basic mechanical engineering knowledge and teamwork.

A prerequisite for earning the course credit is active participation in the Formula Student project and the completion of assigned tasks. The credit is awarded through a presentation of the work completed on the project over the past period. Supporting materials for the credit can be submitted either in person or via e-learning.

Graduates of the course will acquire theoretical and practical skills related to the fundamentals of vehicle design, the development process, and the testing of a complex product. An important goal is to connect theoretical knowledge with its practical application.
