Syllabus


  1. Legislation, overview of selected current standards, recommended literature

  2. Decree No. 50/1978 Coll., Electrotechnical qualification, division of workers (persons), professional competence, overview of selected terms, required education and practice, division of equipment according to voltage, ann. No. 508/2009 Coll. (SR), Act No. 250/2021 Coll., Certificate and registration record.

  3. Electricity system, distribution network, house installation and its parts, wires, cables. Identification according to various aspects. AC and DC networks. TN, TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S networks.

  4. Distribution networks. Types of distribution networks, their connection and properties.

  5. Connecting electrical objects. Electrical wiring. Movable leads, sizing, power distribution, lighting circuits, socket circuits.

  6. Coverage of electrical equipment. Marking of electrical objects. Used colors, marks, markings.

  7. Safety in electrical engineering. Risk. Safe product. Ensuring safety at work. Command "B". Work near living areas. Working under tension. Personal protective equipment. Establishment and operation of test equipment.

  8. Means of protection against electric shock. Means of basic protection (basic insulation, protective partitions and covers, barriers, position protection, voltage limitation, limitation of steady contact current and energy, potential control).

  9. Means of protection in case of failure (additional insulation, protective connection, protective shielding, automatic disconnection from the source). Fuses. Circuit breakers. Circuit breakers.

  10. Means of increased protection (reinforced insulation, protective separation of circuits, source of limited current, protective impedance). Electric shock. Effects of electric current on humans. The effects of different sizes of continuous current on humans. Fibrillation. Protection against injury caused by electric shock. Premises in terms of the risk of electric shock. Principle of protection against electric shock.

  11. Lightning and surge protection.

  12. Revision of electrical equipment, revision of installations, revision and inspection of appliances. Electromagnetic compatibility. Intelligent wiring.

  13. First aid in case of electric shock.

Laboratory exercise

Syllabus


  1. Introduction to laboratory exercises, organizational arrangements (familiarization with course of teaching the subject, schedule of lectures and laboratory exercises). Lessons from safety regulations for work in an electrotechnical laboratory. Practical familiarization with valid legislation and standards related to the studied issue.

  2. Basics of electrical measurements (repetitive measurement of voltage, current, resistance, reading values from measuring devices, analog and digital devices, measurement accuracy). Acquaintance with the measuring devices used during inspection and revision activities.

  3. Electric power system. Electrical conductors and cables, conductor cores, conductor core materials, conductor insulation, bare conductors, cross-sections and sizing, identification. Distribution network. Home installation-execution. Connection of a residential distribution board, various cases, modeling of frequently occurring connection errors.

  4. Types of distribution networks. Single-phase and three-phase alternating current system, connection of appliances, measurement of basic properties.

  5. Preparation of wires for assembly in electrical circuits, stripping of wires, crimping of fastons, sockets and eyelets – practical activity on samples. Covering of electrical equipment, marking of electrical objects.

  6. Practical connection of appliances, connection of sockets, connection of extension cables, connection of three-phase plugs and sockets. Practical connection of switches, connection of contactors, relays.

  7. Verification of the safety of electrical equipment. Electrical equipment safety tests.

  8. Connecting and verifying the operation of fuses, circuit breakers and circuit breakers. Measurement of basic parameters. Verification of the function of the circuit breaker, modeling of frequently occurring wiring errors.

  9. Types of electrical diagrams. Drawing diagrams, working with relevant software.

  10. Lightning and surge protection. Lightning rods. Demonstration of practical measurement on lightning rods.

  11. Inspection of electrical equipment, inspection of installation and hand tools. The audit report.

  12. First aid in case of electric shock, practical activity on models.

  13. Examination according to NV No. 194/2022Coll. to obtain the professional qualification § 6 Electrical Engineering, a written test and an oral examination before an approved committee.
