The course is focused on guiding students in preparing and performing planned experiments and subsequently processing and evaluation of the obtained results. The emphasis is on the analysis and interpretation
Project specifications from industrial companies are appreciated.

Prerequisites

When working on the project, students apply knowledge gained from all previously completed courses in the field of materials science and engineering.

Active participation in the development of the diploma project is required, following the guidance of the thesis supervisor. The work is monitored by the supervisor. In cases of low student engagement, additional tasks beyond the scope of the course may be assigned.

The course provides a minimum of structured, primarily experimental work on the diploma project, ensuring that the student can complete the project during the semester.
By completing the diploma project, the student demonstrates the ability to carry out independent professional work.
