Learning outcomes of the course unit

Prerequisites

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

A written test to assess knowledge of the concepts and essence of the topics covered. Emphasis is placed on verifying the ability to apply the acquired knowledge. If necessary, additional questions are asked orally.
A semester paper in the form of a thematic presentation, where the use of knowledge from the course in the presentation of professional issues is evaluated.
Attendance at lectures is recommended.

The course includes two excursions:


1) A company using cutting tool surface treatment technologies, in particular PVD and CVD (Šumperk)


2) A major manufacturer of electron microscopes (Brno)
