Original abstract

This paper describes impact resistance of porous structures made by metal additive technology Selective Laser Melting (SLM). Porous structures are formed by repeated basic unit-cells composed of merged thin trusses. There were tested BCC types of structures made from material AlSi10Mg. Geometric parameters such as the diameter of the rod were changed .The samples were tested by the impact testing device with the spherical shape of the penetration body (indentor). The results show that the BCC structure with various truss diameter have various impact resistance and various energy absorbing capability.
