Original abstract
This paper provides equations Rz=f(Ra) for calculation of values of the ISO 10 point height parameter Rz from values of the arithmetic mean of the deviations of the roughness profile Ra for turned, grinded, lapped and superfinished surfaces of different metallic materials (steels, duralumin, brass). The common equation Rz=f(Ra) is computed for these machining methods and machined materials. In addition, using an electron scanning microscope, the quality of machined surfaces is described by morphology analysis for select samples. Keywords: surface, roughness, Ra-Rz
Keywords in English
roughness parameter, turning, grinding, lapping, superfinish
