Original abstract

2-WP03-004: This outcome reports results of the field measurement of adhesion coefficient under various conditions using portable tribometer. The aim is to describe parameters of a friction layer on the rail and its interaction with the applied materials including friction modifiers and lubricants. The results are validated and compared with measurement on lab-scale tribometers.
