Original abstract

The paper aims at exploitation of neural networks to create a required pulse wave in a compliant hydraulic circuit, representing arterial architecture. The pulse wave is evoked with a roller pump with its rotation speed controlled by a step motor. Peripheral resistance is created by a system of compliant silicon tubes mimicking arterial tree. The measured pressure waves in two positions and their derivatives will be exploited as datasets to train the neural network and, in the end, to reach a more physiological shape of the pulse wave than can be reached by a manual setting.
