The PHOS4PLANT Workshop: Phosphorus and Beyond – Circular Approaches in Waste Management focuses on innovative strategies for phosphorus recovery and sustainable resource utilisation from sewage sludge and its ashes. The workshop brings together experts from academia and industry to present current research, technological developments, and practical experiences in phosphorus reclamation, ash treatment, biomining, and circular economy approaches. Topics include advanced incineration and additivation methods, fluidised bed conversion, biological sulfuric acid production, state-of-the-art P-recovery processes, and the environmental impacts of recycled materials on soil microbial communities. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration to close nutrient cycles and advance circular solutions in waste management.
