Original abstract

Mathematical representation of the dependence of strain stress on true strain, strain rate and temperature describes quite well the behaviour of metallic materials. Together with the defined chemical composition, heat treatment and boundary conditions the parameters of constitutive equations form representative models of materials. They can be obtained either via the Taylor anvil test (TAT) or via the split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) test. The analysis of the shape of the specimen after the TAT is performed via image analysis using the LUCIA program.
