Original abstract
This contribution focuses on the vortex rope shape and form stability and its influence on pressure pulsations in the hydraulic system during part load operation of Francis turbines close to optimum. Results of extensive model measurements and observations will be discussed here as well as mathematical models developed for the vortex rope form stability analysis.
