Original abstract
Two clinical problems of the hip joint endoprosthesis that were caused by the shape deviation of the contact areas (head and stem cones or head and cup spheres) were solved using computational modelling. The macro-shape and micro-shape deviations of the contacted pairs significantly influenced the contact pressure distribution and generally the stress fields in the endoprosthesis components.
