Original abstract
The paper discusses experience with extensive reliability assessment for the purpose of on-board diagnostic and on-condition maintenance system development in the General Aviation aircraft category. Failure rate estimates as well as some besic experience with practical use of several Component Importance measures are presented, based on work done for various aircraft systems. Parts of the presented problem were also icluded in EU funded CESAR project.
