Original abstract
The current state of the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectrocopy (LIBS) setup development for the mobile remote sensing of chemical elements is presented. The setup is built up using Nd:Yag 532 nm laser and spectroscope Andor Mechelle coupled with the Andor Istar ICCD detector. Custom built Galilean focusing optics together with the Newtonian collection optics in the shape of Dobsonian telescope with 10 inch primary mirror is used. The capability of the setup has been tested on samples with different structures (metal, bone, paving stone, glass) with positive results. All the scheduled development steps are summed up.
