Článek popisuje slinuté karbidy bez povlaků i povlakované, z hlediska historie jejich vývoje a rozdělení podle norem ISO a zabývá se též vymezením oblastí jejich efektivního užití v technologii obrábění. Naznačuje trendy dalšího vývoje těchto řezných materiálů.

English abstract

The paper describes the sintered carbides without and with coatings from the point of view of their historical development and dividing to the ISO standards. The one engages in determination of effective use of sintered carbides at technology of machining and shows the trends of development of these tool materials.
