Original abstract

Článek popisuje cermety z hlediska historického vývoje, zabývá se vymezením oblastí jejich efektivního využití a naznačuje trendy dalšího vývoje těchto řezných materiálů. Přináší též přehled nových druhů cermetových břitových destiček, které byly předními evropskými výrobci představeny Mezinárodním strojírenském veletrhu v Brně, v roce 1997.

English abstract

The paper describes the cermets from the point of view of their historical development and engages in limiting of the areas of their effective use. The one contains a new types of cermet indexable inserts which were introduced by the top European and world producers at the International fair Brno 1997.
