Original abstract

This peper deals with an experimental investigation of the effect of different equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) routes on microstructure, mechanical properties and creep behaviour of pure aluminium. It was found that after four ECAP passes via routes A, B and C the microstructure of alluminium becomes relatively homogeneous. There is little apparent dependence of mechanical and/or creep properties on the processing route.

Keywords in English

Equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP), ECAP processing route, severe plasti deformation, ultrafine grained microstructure, aluminium, creep.
