Original abstract

Abstract. The article describes compliance evaluation of a glider cockpit crashworthiness numerical simulation using a static test. The design of the test and the numerical simulation model were prepared in accordance with the CS 22.561(b)(2) requirements. The next part demonstrates a comparison of two crash test simulations to the hard and soft soil impact surface. Injury criteria were used to evaluate the simulations. The whole simulation was developed using nonlinear explicit transient dynamic computer code MSC. Dytran. Both the test and the simulations were carried out by the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, Brno University of Technology.
