Original abstract

Reliability is basically a quality parameter, which must be incorporated into the product and process. The optimization of technological process allows the industry to produce reliable products, through the proper adjustment of technological parameters. Optimising crucial technological operations can effectively control the number of failures arising from defects produced during the manufacturing process. In some cases it is possible to calculate the optimum conditions on theoretical grounds, much more often, however, only an empirical approach is possible. Factorial experiments, fractional factorial experiments and response surface techniques are used to study relationships between technological factors and identify optimum combinations.
