Original abstract

A numerical model of the solidification and cooling of corundum-baddeleyit material material Eucor – which was cast into a non-metal form – had been applied. The local solidification time is one of the input parameters for the cooperating model of chemical heterogeneity which is applied next. This second model and its application provide detailed quantitative information on the material structure and make it possible to analyse the solidification process.
