Original abstract

ArcelorMittal Riverdale requested development and installation of a static on-line solidification model for their thin slab caster. The goal was to have a tool for two dimensional surface temperature prediction and solidification end point position.Heatlb Brno has established reliable techniques to measure HTC for individual nozzles and combinations of nozzles to determine the HTCs in the overlap region.
