Various chemical or microbial aggregates come into esistence upon treatment and purification fo water. Their physical nad physico-chemical properties are sometimes affected by numerous stages of technological processig, such as transfer and use of substrates of processes employing activated sudge, generation and breaking of floc aggregates, thickening, dewaterig etc.
