Original abstract

The first part of the contribution states a short summary of the history of mechatronics educationn at the Institute of Solids Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Brno, University of Technology and the current status of education in bachelor, master and doctor (PhD) studies. As the bachelor course is the youngest study program from the point of view of accreditation, it is stated in full version. The second part of the contribution states a short summary of research, professional and social activities of the institute, including an overview of main topic ranges.
