V JE typu ADTT je předpokládáno použití roztavených fluoridových solí. Některé soli mají vysokou teplotu tavení – problém zamrzání solí. Řešení je pracovní okruh na bázi uzavřeného Braytonova cyklu. R-C cyklus je řešitelný za určitých podmínek.
