Original abstract

Advanced Process Control (APC) is un-doubtedly the control philosophy of the future. However, currently about 95% of all controllers in the process industry are still of the PID-type, simply because they are so easy to implement in a DCS or PLC. GA PID Tuner application uses advanced genetic algorithm for the PID controller design.
