[popis] => One of the important characteristics of air flow is the velocity of flow. To determine the speed, in addition to other methods, we also use the helium bubbles seeding visualization method, when bubbles are injected into the air stream so that the air flow is obvious to the eye. If a video of such flow is taken, it is possible to determine velocity vectors in a pair of consecutive frames of this video footage, derived from the change in position of individual bubbles. This article describes a method of monitoring the bubbles in consecutive video frames. During this process, helium bubbles are detected in the first image of the pair, either by a firmly defined procedure, or with the use of a neural network. For detected bubbles, the velocity vectors are determined according to the way in which they move, therefore, according to their location in the following frame. Another neural network then determines the velocity vector at any point of image, which will be implemented in the construction of vector maps for the first image. A vector map is used for comprehensive evaluation of air flow and thus, plays an important role in the development of ventilation and air conditioning systems.

[popis] => This article deals with using of genetic algorithms for pump scheduling in large pipe network systems. Importance of pump scheduling in such systems grows up as well as the importance of ecological and energy friendly functionality of the entire network system. Improvement of the pump scheduling saves energy and reduces ageing of the systems. Obviously a calibrated and verified hydraulic model of the network is necessary for solving this kind of problem. The calibration of the hydraulic model is performed with utilising the measured hydraulic data that are compared to the calculated results of the model.

[popis] => This contribution presents an efficient approach to
design of speed controller for fuel pump. The fuel pump is used
for two-shaft turbine engine concept with reducer driven by a
free turbine. Controlling the amount of fuel injection into the
combustion chamber is based on the speed control of the fuel
pump which is controlled by the engine control unit according to
the desired power mode. The resulting flow of fuel into the
combustion chamber beside the pump speed regulator influences
the bypass which constricts the return fuel according to pressure
in the nozzles. Control characteristic of the bypass controller is
fixed and is determined by its structure. The only adjustable
parameter is the speed of the fuel pump. This paper describes the
design procedure of this fuel pump using a two-level controller
with speed and subordinate current-torque control.

[popis_en] => This contribution presents an efficient approach to
design of speed controller for fuel pump. The fuel pump is used
for two-shaft turbine engine concept with reducer driven by a
free turbine. Controlling the amount of fuel injection into the
combustion chamber is based on the speed control of the fuel
pump which is controlled by the engine control unit according to
the desired power mode. The resulting flow of fuel into the
combustion chamber beside the pump speed regulator influences
the bypass which constricts the return fuel according to pressure
in the nozzles. Control characteristic of the bypass controller is
fixed and is determined by its structure. The only adjustable
parameter is the speed of the fuel pump. This paper describes the
design procedure of this fuel pump using a two-level controller
with speed and subordinate current-torque control.

The Hitchcock transportation problem can be transformed to other problems using special constraints, and we show even to crop problems from the agriculture application area, but in real situations we must deal with uncertain data because the data can only be estimated. We propose an approach which is inspired by PERT known from project management area.

The paper describes modelling of the axis X as the multibody system. It consists of rigid and flexible bodies. The main goal of this paper is to create a simplified model and get the information for a strategic decision of manufacturers about damping possibilities of the axis X. Several software products were used in this case, such as SolidWorks for providing CAD models, Ansys, MSC.Adams and Matlab/Simulink. The multibody model of the axis X with the flexible bodies is presented and the state space models are created.

[popis_en] => This paper deals with the simulation assessment of axis X damping possibilities of Heavy Machine Tools. CAD models have been provided by The TOSHULIN Company. The paper describes modelling of the axis X as the multibody system. It consists of rigid and flexible bodies. The main goal of this paper is to create a simplified model and get the information for a strategic decision of manufacturers about damping possibilities of the axis X. Several software products were used in this case, such as SolidWorks for providing CAD models, Ansys, MSC.Adams and Matlab/Simulink. The multibody model of the axis X with the flexible bodies is presented and the state space models are created.

Utilization of a model with flexible bodies in the objective function of the optimization procedure leads due to its high order to the lengthy or unfeasible optimization calculations. It is presented an utilization of a linear time invariant model (state-space LTI) of a system with flexible bodies represented by a block model which overcomes the mentioned difficulties. The model consists of two blocks – a) block containing mainly state-space LTI of flexible bodies which does not depend on values of searched parameters and b) block which depends on them. This allows clear and effective representation of the problem, its efficient implementation and, consequently, finding the optimal values of the required basic parameters. The formulation of the task will be demonstrated on three studies. The first one deals with the location of optimal values of design parameters of absorber connected to the flexible cantilever, the second one deals with vibration energy harvesting device and the last one with damping of heavy machine tool long axis.

Output from vision system is relative change of position and rotation of mobile robot. [popis_en] => This paper deals with design of hybrid software and hardware sensor, which can be used for mobile robots visual odometry task. The paper is focused to sensing raw data only. This approach combines onboard hardware sensors -accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and camera with software module, which is mainly based on computer vision. Output from vision system is relative change of position and rotation of mobile robot. The position change is calculated for two axes based on vision data and the relative rotation is based on data fusion of three onboard sensors.
