Special Welding Technology
FSI-HSV Acad. year: 2026/2027 Winter semester
Special fusion welding technology. Welding technology with highly concentrated energy sources – plasma, electron beam and laser welding. Special methods of welding, bolts welding . Special methods of welding using pressure, friction welding. Metal 3D printing methods. Information on the influence of the welding process on limit states such as dynamics, statics, fatigue, brittle fracture and creep. The influence of the welding process on the deformations of the welded parts and the explanation of the concept of residual stress. The possibility of measuring typical parameters and quantities during and after the welding process.

- Summary of materials and their weldability.
- Friction welding, FSW.
- Laser, electron beam welding.
- Laser, plasma, water jet cutting.
- Adhesive bonding.
- Hybrid joining.
- Deformation in welding. Welding induced residual and internal stresses.
- Explosion welding, electromagnetic pulse, stud welding.
- The possibility of measuring quantities during and after welding – temperature field, deformation, residual stress, macro/micro, hardness
- Welding and limit states – statics, dynamics, fatigue
- Welding and limit states – brittle fracture and creep
- 3D printing of metal materials – WAAM.
