Original abstract

Histological methods are based on simple principles, however, they require some experience. These are usually qualitative methods, but they enable a quantitative evaluation, too. the aim of the present study was to compare several methods of quantitative histological analysis of plant origin components in model samples. The results demonstrated that it is possible to determine the content of ingredients relatively accurately, in particular when using image analysis and targeted staining methods.
