[nazev] => Two-Stage Stochastic Programming for Transportation Network Design Problem
[nazev_orig] => Two-Stage Stochastic Programming for Transportation Network Design Problem
[duvernost_udaju_id] => S
[popis] => The transportation network design problem is a well-known optimization problem with many practical applications. This paper deals with demand-based applications, where the operational as well as many other decisions are often made under uncertainty. Capturing the uncertain demand by using scenario-based approach, we formulate the two-stage stochastic mixed-integer linear problem, where the decision, which is made under uncertainty, of the first-stage program, is followed by the second-stage decision that reacts to the observed demand. Such a program may reach solvability limitations of algorithms for large scale real world data, so we refer to the so-called hybrid algorithm that combines a traditional optimization algorithm and a suitable genetic algorithm. The obtained results are presented in an explanatory form with the use of a sequence of figures.

[popis] => This article deals with optimization of operational parameters of an energy regeneration module for a heavy vehicle. Recently, there was developed an energy regeneration module for a pneumatic tyred roller with hydrostatic drive. It was necessary to optimize its operational parameters to achieve good results in experimental tests on the actual vehicle. Optimization The optimization process was based on a numerical model of the vehicle using a parallelized modification of the differential evolution algorithm as an optimizer. Suggested parameter values were subsequently verified experimentally on the vehicle by analysis of the fuel consumption.

[popis] => The aim of the paper is to introduce a modified hybrid algorithm to solve a wait-and-see reformulation of transportation optimization model including linear pricing with random demand parameters and 0-1 network design variables. We model the linearly price-dependent stochastic demand and the uncertain demand parameters are introduced and modeled by random variables. Our formulated scenario-based model can be repeatedly solved as a finite set of mixed integer linear programs by means of integer programming techniques or some heuristics. However, the authors combine a traditional optimization algorithm and a suitable genetic algorithm to obtain a hybrid algorithm that is modified for the WS case. Its implementation and test results are illustrated by network and function graphs, which are also discussed and concluded in the paper.

[nazev_en] => Hybrid Algorithm for Wait-and-See Transportation Network Design Problem with Linear Pricing
[popis_en] => The aim of the paper is to introduce a modified hybrid algorithm to solve a wait-and-see reformulation of transportation optimization model including linear pricing with random demand parameters and 0-1 network design variables.

[popis] => This paper presents the implementation of PID and State-Space controllers tuning, using a Two-Level optimization technique. The Genetic Algorithm (GA) as a global heuristic optimization technique has been used together with the Interior Point Method (IPM), as a local search method to reach the optimal solution. The optimal parameters are applied for a high order system. The performance of the proposed technique is evaluated by setting its objective function with Integral of the error criteria. The proposed optimization-based technique is also compared with Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) in case of PID controller, and Pole Placement (PP) in case of State-Space controller.

An optimization problem, optimal parameters in the Yagi antenna construction, is described in the Antenna section by definition of the main parameters that describe quality of the deigned antenna. Main evolutionary algorithms used to design the antenna are described in the section Evolutionary Algorithms. Algorithm HC12 is used as the main optimization algorithm, Differential Evolution and Nelder-Mead algorithm. The purpose of the other two algorithms is comparison to HC12. Own fitness function has been developed and used to evaluate quality of the designed antenna. The fitness function is described in the Experiments section and the achieved results viewed as values and graphs are included in section Results of experiments. Finally the paper shows the design of antennas by used algorithms and by the best value of the fitness function.

[nazev_en] => Design of Yagi-Uda antenna using HC12 algorithm
[popis_en] => The paper is focused on a design of Yagi-Uda antenna by means of Evolutionary algorithms.

[popis] => This paper concern with general polynomial controller design. Optimization process of controller design is
two-level. In first step is used grammatical evolution which outputs model structure of controller including parameters' values, which are coefficients of polynomials in numerator and in denominator. Second phase of design fits parameters of model using Bees algorithm. Quality of control is observer in time domain and composite objective function incorporating integral criteria and overshoot penalization is used. Results are shown on testing 3rd order systems.

Dijkstra’s Grid and its usage for the path planning of holonomic robots with omnidirectional platforms in known
environments with static obstacles. The surveyed problem is relevant to a number of ordinary applications dealing with 3D surfaces in general. Article proposes a different implementation of the given issue by a grid approach to the approximated digital surface model featuring the Dijkstra’s shortest path algorithm with simple custom postprocessing optimization of the final solution. Three experiments in the custom C++ simulation environment RRT Explorer 3.0 are shown using two distinctive densities of the grid thus demonstrating the diverse levels of the landscape approximation. In the conclusion, the advantages and drawbacks of the offered method are discussed.

show the object in motion in direction towards the observer. To this purpose will be used mathematical tools
Fourier transform and phase correlation. This system of velocity measurement would be possible to apply to any moving object. We have focused in this work on measuring velocity of vehicle because of simple verication of computation.

[nazev_en] => Measuring velocity of passing vehicle by utilising image processing
[popis_en] => The paper deals with possibility of measuring the velocity of object from series of images which
show the object in motion in direction towards the observer. To this purpose will be used mathematical tools
Fourier transform and phase correlation. This system of velocity measurement would be possible to apply to any moving object. We have focused in this work on measuring velocity of vehicle because of simple verication of computation.

[popis] => Sensor Failure Detection and Identification (FDI) is a standard meth-od in many technical applications. Presented paper describes the usage of such approach in autonomous mobile robot navigation tasks. The FDI method uses pattern matching principle based on Markov chain theory. Such approach is ca-pable to avoid any miss-readings or sensor failures during navigation task. This method significantly improves the robustness of mobile robot navigation in crowded environment shared with people. Practical verification experiments were performed on autonomous mobile robot Advee, which is designed to safe-ly move among people.

[popis] => The paper presents both theoretical background and practical implementation details of the electric drive test solution developed within the project CAAEEC. Because the intended application of the system is development of small BLDC-based drives for the aircraft industry, the main emphasis was placed on exceptional controllability under all working conditions. The Field-Oriented Control principles have been employed to fulfill these demands – the resulting system is able to seamlessly transition among all four quadrants of operation and its inherently precise quadrature current control allows leaving out the torque transducer when low moment of inertia is crucial.
