In the paper there is described the knowledge from designing of spur gears with asymmetric involute profile teeth. The knowledge was obtained on the basis of the qualitative parameters evaluation of mentioned spur gears (geometric parameters, bend capacity of teeth and contact capacity of teeth flank), and on subsequent comparison of these qualitative parameters in relation to corresponding spur gears with symmetric involute profile teeth. In the conclusion of the paper are presented results of fatigue bending experiments of gears with symmetric and asymmetric profile teeth, which verified the theoretical results of analysis bend capacity of teeth.
