The certification processes require the structural testing of all parts. It means that each modificatio should be verified by a structural test. tehe aero nautical regulations for the aircraft from category FAR23 and JAR23 provide a possibility to certify the aircraft component without verification by structural test on condition that the employed analysis was proved reliable in the past for a very similar component. the aim of our research was to confirm the reliability of two landing gears FEM models to reduce time and costs necessary for their development.
