Analýza dat z jízdy vozidla, řízení elektronických stabilizačních systémů vozidla, propojení měřených dat z jízdy vozidla s jeho matematickým modelem atd., všechny tyto činnosti vyžadují jako jeden z důležitých vstupů úhel natočení volantu. Úhel natočení volantu je jednou z budicích funkcí vozidlového systému. Zařízení „Měřicí volant SWA 1.0“ je navrženo pro měření úhlu natočení volantu jedoucího osobního vozidla. Systém se skládá z volantu nahrazujícího volant měřeného vozu (použití různých adaptérů podle typu vozu), přesného rotačního potenciometru, a speciálního systému fixujícího polohu celého měřicího zařízení. Součástí celého systému je i datalogger.

Vehicle drive data analysis, electronic stability systems control, connection of measured vehicle drive data with its mathematical model etc., all these activities require the steering wheel angle as an important input. The steering wheel angle is one of the driving functions of the vehicle system. The device Measurement Steering Wheel SWA 1.0 is designed for steering wheel angle measurement of the driving vehicle. The system consists of the steering wheel supplying steering wheel of the measured vehicle (using different adaptors according the type of measured vehicle), precise rotational potentiometer and a special system that fixes the position of the whole measuring device. Datalogger is the part of the whole system.
