[nazev] => Optimized Mapping of Pressure in Lubricated Point Contacts Based on Measured Film Thickness
[nazev_orig] => Optimized Mapping of Pressure in Lubricated Point Contacts Based on Measured Film Thickness
[duvernost_udaju_id] => S
[popis] => The surface topography plays significant role in lifetime of highly loaded machine parts with lubricated contacts. Many elements like gears, rolling bearings, cams and traction drives operate in mixed lubrication conditions, where the lubricant film behavior closely implies the main practical performance parameters such as friction wear, contact fatigue and scuffing. For prediction of wear and especially contact fatigue, the values and distribution of the pressure in rolling contact are often required. The usual theoretical approach based on numerical solution of physical-mathematical models built around the Reynolds equation can be extremely time consuming, especially when lubricant films are very thin, and contact load and required resolution very high. This study presents a further refined approach to our previously published experimental method, based on on inverse elasticity theory and fast convolution transformation between the lubricant film thickness map and the pressure distribution within the point contact. The experimental film thickness maps of EHD lubricated contacts with smooth and dented surfaces were processed using colorimetric interferometry and validated using numerical solution, in order to calibrate numerical parameters and to find limits of the new approach.

[nazev_en] => Effective utilization of various types of biomass and phytomass in new experimental unit with output capacity 1 MW
[popis_en] => This paper deals with utilizing biomass as a fuel in utility systems supplying heat covering demand in units of MW. Utility systems of small industrial plants or systems covering heat demand of blocks of flats or groups of buildings (small district heating systems, shopping centers) can be considered as typical representatives. Systems like these are mostly based on using fossil fuel which is not always utilized in an effective way, i.e. only for heat production (heat only boilers).

Procedure of optimum choice of the boiler and its duty following the real demand of consumers, safety of energy supply assessment as well as investigation of all the possibilities to extend time of operation (including cogeneration and even trigeneration) have to be included in sophisticated design of an overall system. Technology of such unit and its conception are further described.

[popis] => The paper deals with modeling of self-excited oscillations generated during a machining process. These oscillations are generated between a cutting tool and a work-piece without any outer influence. This results in decreasing quality of a work-piece surface as well as decreasing geometrical precision of the surface. The secondary effect is increased level of noise emissions. Due to these problems, and in order to facilitate further increase of the machining preciseness and cutting velocities, it is necessary to minimize the self-excited oscillations of the cutting tool as much as possible. This task is solved worldwide by many scientific teams but a sufficient solution for industrial applications was not proposed so far. There are several theories dealing with the problem of self-excited oscillations. The solution of their elimination developed at BUT FME is based on the "reproduction principle"

[nazev_en] => ELIMINATION OF SELF-EXCITED OSCILLATIONS IN A MACHINING PROCESS
[popis_en] => The paper deals with modeling of self-excited oscillations generated during a machining process.

[popis] => The actual state of human thermal comfort in specific environment is presented in this article.
The human thermal comfort is defined like state of mind, which expresses the thermal climate satisfaction and results from the subjective evaluation (ASHRAE).
There is a lot of reasons why It is necessary to deal with this dilemma:
The overall importance on working environment quality and human thermal comfort is growing up last few years.
The price of energy is growing up much faster than in last few years, so it?s necessary to decrease the costs of heating and air-conditioning. This can be done by sophisticated measurement and effective regulation of parameters, which affects the condition of environment.

[popis] => The article deals with design of the controller for elimination of self-
excited oscillations during machining. These oscillations are generated between a
cutting tool and a work-piece surface and lead to decreased quality of the ma-
chined surface as well as decreased geometrical precision. The secondary effect is
increased level of noise emissions. In general, the self-excited oscillations nega-
tively affect the working productivity of metal cutting machines and inhibit its
growth. The design of the controller is based on a model of the cutting process
which works with so-called regenerative principle of the self-excited oscillations
generation and is based on the variable chip thickness. The model itself serves to
derivation of the controller gains. A piezoelectric compensator of the cutting force
is controlled by the designed PSD controller. The compensator changes the posi-
tion of the tool against the machined surface thereby changing the chip thickness.

[nazev_en] => Design of the controller for elimination of self- excited oscillations
[popis_en] => The article deals with design of the controller for elimination of self-
excited oscillations during machining.
