[popis] => Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is a key technological process for the production of parts from semi-finished products to the final heat treatment as it also enables the machining of very hard material. The quality of an electro-erosive machined surface is a very important factor with regard to the consequent functionality and life cycle of the manufactured part. The occurrence of cracks or burned cavities is therefore an acceptable defect of the sub-surface area, which along with residual stress may lead to the destruction of the machining. This study deals with the influence of the cut direction through a semi-finished product on the occurrence of defects (cracks, burned cavities) regarding the influence of setting up the parameters of the machine (gap voltage, pulse on and off time, wire feed and discharge current) and the type of heat treatment of the material. In order to study the surface and sub-surface area of the machined samples, electron microscopy was used, including the use of the local EDX chemical analysis.

[popis_en] => The article substantiates and describes some characteristic features the creation of drive model of a electric drive of an excavator. The article introduces basic model schemes of the drove system, the simulation model of the electric motor system, of the pump driven by the electric motor, examples of simulation results – time courses of model quantities received either by means of Matlab/Simulink or a set differential equations- and evaluation of model results.

[popis] => We show the advantages and disadvantages of specific geometric algebras and propose practical implementations in colorimetry. The colour space CIEL∗a∗b∗ is endowed by an Euclidean metric; the neighbourhood of a point is therefore a sphere, and the choice of a conformal geometric algebra is thus obvious. For the colour space CMC(l:c), the neighbourhood is an ellipsoid and thus we choose the quadric geometric algebra to linearize the metric by means of the scalar product. We discuss the distance problems in colour spaces with these particular geometric algebras applied.

We show the correspondence to the fisheye correction algorithms; more precisely, we prove the proportionality of classical models with CGA algorithm and provide exact formula in terms of CGA. [popis_en] => We present a particular geometric algebra together with such an embedding of two–dimensional Euclidean space that the algebra elements may be in the most efficient way interpreted as arbitrary conic sections. Consequently, in this setting we provide full description of the conic sections analysis, classification and their transformations. Examples that show the functionality and consistency are provided in Maple together with the source code.

[duvernost_udaju_id] => S
[popis] => Regarding the infrastructure planning in waste management, the future situation in the Czech Republic or in
some other waste developing countries is unknown due to the undecided support from the government or the
EU. Furthermore, the production of waste depends on many factors (e.g. separation rate) that are uncertain.
The level of recycling will be influenced by technical progress while taking into account the compromise between
maximum waste material recovery and the economic impact of the process. Nevertheless, it is important to plan
the transportation infrastructure that will be able to support the realization of future projects/development. Such
a feature might be the transfer station grid, which can decrease the total transportation costs/impact on the
environment. The grid design should be robust with respect to all the possible technological solutions
(establishment of waste treatment facilities). In this paper, the mathematical model for grid design of transfer
stations is proposed. The model will be presented as a two-stage mixed-integer stochastic programming
problem. The model will be tested through a case study on the current situation and possible legislation changes
regarding waste management in the Czech Republic. The model scale will be on the micro-regional level
proposing a robust transfer station grid design. The realization of these projects takes into consideration possible
investments and decides about the capacity of the facility with regards to future government support and
donations. The output in the form of recommendation will serve possible investors, municipalities and/or
stakeholders from the field of waste management to plan more sustainable projects.

[popis] => Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is an unconventional machining method indispensable especially for the aeronautical and automotive industries. In this context, the effective manufacturing of high surface quality components from aluminium alloy7475-T7351 requires comprehensive knowledge of the applied production procedures. We therefore performed a designed experiment comprising 33 cycles (with systematic alteration of machine setting parameters such as gap voltage, pulse on time, pulse off time, discharge current, and wire feed), enabling us to evaluate systematically the cutting speeds in the relevant samples. The machined areas were subjected to a thorough analysis involving both the surface and the subsurface layers. The actual topography was assessed using a non-contact profiler, and the entire operation concentrated on 12 parameters within the areal, profile, and basic and bearingprofile categories. To observe the surface relief, we employed several instruments, including the semi-contact atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique;a digital microscope; and a non-contact 3D profiler. Another major step then consisted in examining the morphology and surface defects, a process suitably complemented with a chemical composition analysis (EDX). The distribution of individual elements within the material was investigated in detail using a lamella, whose subsequent inspection relied on atransmission electron microscope (TEM) as the principal tool. To study the subsurface layer and its defects, we prepared metallographic specimens (cross-sections) of the samples and observed them by means of light and electron microscopes.

[nazev_en] => Quality of Surface and Subsurface Layers after WEDM Aluminum Alloy 7475-T7351 Including Analysis of TEM Lamella
[popis_en] => Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is an unconventional machining method indispensable especially for the aeronautical and automotive industries.
