[duvernost_udaju_id] => S
[popis] => Regardless of the shortcomings and criticisms of world university rankings, these metrics are still widely used by students and parents to select universities and by universities to attract talented students and researchers, as well as funding. This paper proposes a new mixed-integer programming model for ranking universities. The new approach alleviates one of the criticisms – the issue of the “arbitrari-ness” of the weights used for aggregation of the individual criteria (or indicators) utilized in the contemporary rankings. Instead, the proposed model uses intervals of different sizes for the weights and lets the universities themselves “choose” the weights to optimize their position in the rankings. A numerical evaluation of the proposed ranking, based on the indicator values and weights from the Times Higher Education World University Ranking, is presented.

[popis] => Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) methods are a promising approach to solving complex tasks in the real world with physical robots. In this paper, we compare several reinforcement learning (Q-Learning, SARSA) and deep reinforcement learning (Deep Q-Network, Deep Sarsa) methods for a task aimed at achieving a specific goal using robotics arm UR3. The main optimization problem of this experiment is to find the best solution for each RL/DRL scenario and minimize the Euclidean distance accuracy error and smooth the resulting path by the Bézier spline method. The simulation and real word applications are controlled by the Robot Operating System (ROS). The learning environment is implemented using the OpenAI Gym library which uses the RVIZ simulation tool and the Gazebo 3D modeling tool for dynamics and kinematics.

[popis] => This paper deals with an advanced adjustment of stabilization sequences for selected discrete chaotic systems by means of meta-evolutionary approaches. As the representative models of deterministic chaotic systems, a two dimensional Lozi map and two dimensional Hénon map were used. The novelty of the approach is in an effective use of a new type of objective function, which is essential for the whole optimization process of higher periodic orbits as well as an effective use of advanced metaheuristic optimization methods. Although the task of stabilizing the Lozi and Hénon chaotic systems is known, its solution presented for periodic orbit four is not trivial. The task of stabilizing the Lozi chaotic systems for period four is a new approach. Furthermore, modern meta-heuristics were used for own design of the external disturbance sequences. The used optimization methods are a naive grid-based algorithm (NG), a grid-based Nelder-Mead Algorithm (NM), a Genetic Algorithm (GA) as well as Genetic Programming (GP). A connection of GP and second level optimization using GA displays significantly better results than the given stand-alone meta-heuristic techniques.

[popis] => Vertical graphene, which belongs to nanomaterials, is a very promising tool for improving the useful properties of long-used and proven materials. Since the growth of vertical graphene is different on each base material and has specific deposition setting parameters, it is necessary to examine each base material separately. For this reason, a full factor design of experiment was performed with 2(6) = 64 rounds, which contained additional 5 central points, i.e., a total of 69 rounds of individual experiments, which was to examine the effect of input factors Temperature, Pressure, Flow, CH4, Plasma Power, and Annealing in H-2 on the growth of vertical graphene on aluminum alloy AlCu4Mg. The deposition was performed using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technology. Mainly, the occurrence of graphene was analyzed, which was confirmed by Raman spectroscopy, as well as its thickness. The characterization was performed using electron and transmission microscopy, including an atomic force microscope. It was found that the growth of graphene occurred in 7 cases and its thickness is affected only by the interaction flow (sccm) x pretreatment H-2 (sccm).

[popis] => Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) technology is often used for the final machining of parts to the required surface quality without further finishing operations. At the same time, WEDM has a significant advantage over other machining technologies, and in the fact, it is possible to machine all materials, regardless of their hardness or toughness, it only needs to be at least electrically conductive. Aviation nickel superalloy Mar-M247, which is usually machined to the final form by parts using WEDM, was the subject of research in this study. In order to find the optimal setting of machine parameters (Pulse on time, Pulse off time, and Discharge current) for multicut machining, an extensive design of experiment was performed with a total of 54 circles, which optimized the cutting speed in the first and second cuts and the topography of the machined surface was taken into account in the third cut. Subsequently, an analysis of the topography and morphology of the machined samples was performed, including an analysis of the condition of the subsurface layer. The study also included the analysis of the lamella in a transmission electron microscope. It was found that with the maximization of the cutting speed in the third cut, the surface topography deteriorates proportionally, but it also leads to the complete removal of all cracks formed in the first cut.

[popis] => The unconventional technology of wire electrical discharge machining is a key engineering technology, designed primarily for machining of conventionally difficult machine materials. One of them is nickel alloys, which are majorly used in the aerospace and energy industries. The subject of research in this study was specifically the B1914 nickel-based superalloy, which was subjected to many analyses leading to an overall optimization of its machining using wire electrical discharge machining. In order to determine the effect of machine parameters setup (pulse off time, gap voltage, discharge current, pulse on time and wire feed) on cutting speed, topography, morphology, surface and subsurface layer quality, an extensive Box-Behnken design experiment consisting of 46 rounds was carried out. The analyses of the condition of the surface and subsurface layers were performed, including their chemical composition and changes caused by wire electrical discharge machining. It was found out that the factors like pulse off time, discharge current and pulse on time have the greatest effect on the cutting speed, although from the point of view of surface topography the parameter pulse off time is not significant. The remaining two parameters cause the cutting speed to act against the surface topography i.e. with the increasing cutting speed, the surface topography gets worse and vice versa.

[nazev_en] => Machining of B1914 nickel-based superalloy using wire electrical discharge machining
[popis_en] => The unconventional technology of wire electrical discharge machining is a key engineering technology, designed primarily for machining of conventionally difficult machine materials.

[popis] => Heat resistance, heat stableness and corrosion resistance are properties that predispose nickel superalloys such as Inconel 625, Mar-M247, Nimonic C 263 and B1914 to a very wide range of applications. Due to their mechanical properties, their machinability by conventional technologies is relatively difficult, so wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is widely used, where only one condition is placed on the material being machined, which is at least minimal electrical conductivity. Despite the fact that the main element of which these superalloys are always composed is nickel, their machinability by WEDM is quite different. For this reason, an extensive study comparing the machinability of the four above-mentioned nickel superalloys using WEDM was performed, examining the effect of setting the machine parameters on the cutting speed as well as on the quality of the surface and subsurface layer. It was found out that the cutting speed is different for individual materials with the same set of machine parameters and so that it is possible to significantly increase the quality of the machined surface for individual materials.

[popis] => Nowadays, increasing complexity of solved optimisation problems leads to necessity of dealing with computation time demand. In the case of network flow tasks, computation time is highly dependent on detail of transport infrastructure. The presented paper is concerned with developing novel approaches for transport infrastructure reduction using clustering analysis. According to the required outputs of the task, it is possible to variably change the detail of the network in individual territorial units to ensure the solvability of the task, but without significant distortion of the results. The main idea and novelty of the presented research is to have a finer construction only in the vicinity of the monitored subject. With a greater distance, it is possible to reduce the level of detail in the transport network. The principle of reduction technique is based on transformation of geographic coordinates with subsequent cluster analysis. K-means and hierarchical clustering are introduced and results of developed approach are shown on municipalities in Czech Republic. Consistency within clusters of both methods is evaluated using silhouettes. The presented methodology allows to solve optimisation of case studies more efficiently with greater detail in monitored region, which leads to more accurate solutions.

[nazev_en] => Novel Approaches for Transport Infrastructure Reduction to Effective Optimisation of Flow Tasks
[popis_en] => Nowadays, increasing complexity of solved optimisation problems leads to necessity of dealing with computation time demand.

[popis] => Benchmarking plays a crucial role in both development of new optimization methods, and in conducting proper comparisons between already existing methods, particularly in the field of evolutionary computation. In this paper, we develop new benchmark functions for bound-constrained single-objective optimization that are based on a zigzag function. The proposed zigzag function has three parameters that control its behaviour and difficulty of the resulting problems. Utilizing the zigzag function, we introduce four new functions and conduct extensive computational experiments to evaluate their performance as benchmarks. The experiments comprise of using the newly proposed functions in 100 different parameter settings for the comparison of eight different optimization algorithms, which are a mix of canonical methods and best performing methods from the Congress on Evolutionary Computation competitions. Using the results from the computational comparison, we choose some of the parametrization of the newly proposed functions to devise an ambiguous benchmark set in which each of the problems introduces a statistically significant ranking among the algorithms, but the ranking for the entire set is ambiguous with no clear dominating relationship between the algorithms. We also conduct an exploratory landscape analysis of the newly proposed benchmark functions and compare the results with the benchmark functions used in the Black-Box-Optimization-Benchmarking suite. The results suggest that the new benchmark functions are well suited for algorithmic comparisons.

[popis] => R-loops are common non-B nucleic acid structures formed by a three-stranded nucleic acid composed of an RNA–DNA hybrid and a displaced single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) loop. Because the aberrant R-loop formation leads to increased mutagenesis, hyper-recombination, rearrangements, and transcription-replication collisions, it is regarded as important in human diseases. Therefore, its prevalence and distribution in genomes are studied intensively. However, in silico tools for R-loop prediction are limited, and therefore, we have developed the R-loop tracker tool, which was implemented as a part of the DNA Analyser web server. This new tool is focused upon (1) prediction of R-loops in genomic DNA without length and sequence limitations; (2) integration of R-loop tracker results with other tools for nucleic acids analyses, including Genome Browser; (3) internal cross-evaluation of in silico results with experimental data, where available; (4) easy export and correlation analyses with other genome features and markers; and (5) enhanced visualization outputs. Our new R-loop tracker tool is freely accessible on the web pages of DNA Analyser tools, and its implementation on the web-based server allows effective analyses not only for DNA segments but also for full chromosomes and genomes.

[popis] => The paper focuses on investigating the impact of artificial agent (machine translator) on human agent (posteditor) using a proposed methodology, which is based on language complexity measures, POS tags, frequent tagsets, association rules, and their summarization. We examine this impact from the point of view of language complexity in terms of word and sentence structure. By the proposed methodology, we analyzed 24 733 tags of English to Slovak translations of technical texts, corresponding to the output of two MT systems (Google Translate and the European Commission’s MT tool). We used both manual (adequacy and fluency) and semiautomatic (HTER metric) MT evaluation measures as the criteria for validity. We show that the proposed methodology is valid based on the evaluation of frequent tagsets and rules of MT outputs produced by Google Translate or of the European Commission’s MT tool, and both postedited MT (PEMT) outputs using baseline methods. Our results have also shown that PEMT output produced by Google Translate is characterized by more frequent tagsets such as verbs in the infinitive with modal verbs compared to its MT output, which is characterized by masculine, inanimate nouns in locative of singular. In the MT output, produced by the European Commission’s MT tool, the most frequent tagset was verbs in the infinitive compared to its postedited MT output, where verbs in imperative and the second person of plural occurred. These findings are also obtained from the use of the proposed methodology for MT evaluation. The contribution of the proposed methodology is an identification of systematic not random errors. Additionally, the study can also serve as information for optimizing the translation process using postediting.

[popis] => Currently, the increasing emphasis is placed on the long-term sustainability of the supply and processing
chain in all sectors. In addition to the economic aspect, the overall impact on the environment are often
addressed. To implement appropriate changes and meet the set goals, support tools based on mathematical
programming are widely used. These tools can provide appropriate insight into the issues addressed and
draw attention to possible unfavorable conditions or overall inefficiency of operation. The main problems
are location and allocation tasks, which are usually solved using flow in the network. For accurate results
and their possible applicability, it is necessary to use a detailed infrastructure, which is modeled using graph
construction. However, these tasks are fundamentally limited by extreme computational complexity if a
real problem is addressed. In the case of thousands nodes with millions of edges, it is almost impossible to
perform a calculation, where the non-linearity or integer variables are included. The computation can often
be performed only on less detailed infrastructure, which is usually given by historical development or
legislation. On the other hand, this structure does not reflect the specific conditions of the problem and the
obtained results could be distorted and their usability can be considerably limited. It is therefore appropriate
to deal with the design of own infrastructure. The aim is to create a changing detail of the transport
infrastructure based on key elements in the system. The presented study introduces a proposal of a
methodology for the design and reduction of transport infrastructure regarding an optimisation of network
flow tasks. The principle of the procedure consists in keeping the finer detail of infrastructure in the vicinity
of the monitored node and it is possible to have coarser detail with increasing distance. For this purpose,
the transformation of the coordinates of the nodes is used, followed by the application of cluster analysis.
Gradually, the k-means and hierarchical clustering algorithms are introduced, including their evaluation by
silhouette. For the design of the transport network, the distances between municipalities and population are
used. On the other hand, it is desirable to include other key factors such as production, capacity and taking
into account multiple reference nodes, which will be the subject of consequent research.

[nazev_en] => Surrogate-Assisted Differential Evolution-Based Method for the ICSI’2022 Competition
[popis_en] => In this paper, a method called Lipschitz-surrogate Assisted Differential Evolution (LSADE) is described. The method uses two different surrogates: a standard radial basis function one and a specialized one based on a Lipschitz condition. It also uses two optimization methods: differential evolution and sequential quadratic programming. The LSADE method is investigated on the benchmark set of the ICSI’2022 competition and is compared with two other high-performing methods for bound constrained optimization, outperforming them both on the studied benchmark set.

[popis] => In this paper, a composite method for bound constrained optimization called Composite Evolutionary Strategy and Differential Evolution (CESDE) is described. This method combines two well-performing methods from the Congress on Evolutionary Computation Competitions. Through numerical investigation on the ICSI’2022 benchmark set, the favourite scheme for combining the two methods was determined, and it was found that CESDE outperforms both of its “parental” methods on all studied instances.
