Project Support

The PSO provides assistance in the preparation and management phase of FME projects. These include research and development projects, university-wide and inter-faculty or faculty strategic projects.

In the preparatory phase, PSO will help in the following areas:

  • Information support about grant opportunities via Grantomat, personal consultations and other information channels.
  • Setting up a project application in Apollo, the process of approving a project application at the BUT, checking if the data in the Apollo projects module are up to date.
  • Preparation of documents on behalf of BUT/FME requiring the signature of the statutory representative or authorized person.
  • Consultation and assistance in setting the project budget.
  • Orientation of the applicant on specific topics such as gender, DNSH, data management.
  • Supporting the process of generating the project plan using coaching methods for consortium project coordinators.
  • On the BUT side, ensuring the process of signing partnership/consortium agreements and entering them into the Register of Contracts.

In the implementation phase, the PSO ensures:

  • Acting as project/finance manager for:
    • large strategic research projects (P JAC, TACR NCC),
    • large university-wide projects for infrastructure development and education (P JAC, NRC),
    • challenging international projects (HE, INTERREG).
  • For other projects under implementation (TACR, CSF, OPTAK) it provides methodological support for the proper fulfilment of providers' requirements.
  • On the BUT side, it ensures the process of signing contracts on the use of project results and entering these documents into the Register of Contracts.

Other agenda of the PSO:

  • Ensures the management of FME's industrial intellectual property and administers processes related to proceedings of patent offices/organizations.
  • Communicates with the grant provider via the BUT data mailbox.
  • Manages information on mobility project opportunities for outgoing and incoming academics (beyond Erasmus).
  • Manages the portfolio of BUT development projects under the MEYS implemented at FME.
  • Collects information to update records of projects in implementation and maintains project statistics for the needs of faculty management.
  • Cooperates in controls and audits with project developers.
  • Organises regular meetings of researchers and passes tips on best practices.
  • Offers and organizes thematic development trainings.
